ND filters diminish the amount of light entering the lens without altering the scene’s colour. Particularly valuable in bright conditions to avoid overexposure, these filters enable proper exposure at wider lens openings. This, in turn, reduces depth-of-field, allowing for the selective focus on a key subject while intentionally blurring the foreground and/or background.
