To maintain ARRI’s renowned rugged build quality in a compact and lightweight camera, the ALEXA Mini incorporates unique design solutions such as highly integrated and environmentally sealed electronics, a lightweight carbon housing, and a solid titanium PL mount that ensures a stable flange focal distance even with large lenses.
Portable and versatile, the ALEXA Mini can be operated wirelessly, with the ARRI MVF-1 multi viewfinder, or via an onboard monitor and user button interface. Its symmetrical design allows for filming in any orientation, and multiple accessory points enable creative mounting solutions. Interchangeable lens mounts, including those from the ARRI AMIRA, expand lens compatibility.
Equipped with a 4:3 sensor, the ALEXA Mini offers automatic de-squeeze mode for anamorphic productions and a wide range of frame rates. It records ProRes or uncompressed ARRIRAW in-camera to CFast 2.0 cards or to a Codex recorder for multi-camera setups. Integrated functionality includes a built-in lens motor controller and ARRI Lens Data System (LDS) technology for frame-accurate metadata.
Wi-Fi connectivity enables remote camera control its exceptional low-light performance makes it suitable for Steadycam, Gimbal, Drone and even underwater work, but is equally brilliant when it comes to larger rigs. Like the ARRI AMIRA, the ALEXA Mini records 4K UHD ProRes images and offers unparalleled overall image quality, ensuring future-proof results across various resolutions and formats.
