Description
The newly introduced OConnor 1030D and 1030Ds represent an updated replacement for the popular Ultimate 1030HD and HDs models. Designed for digital cinematography shooting, these heads feature a sporty industrial design and incorporate advanced features from larger OConnor models, allowing cinematographers to seamlessly transition between heavier and lighter payload camera setups.
Key features include stepless, ultra-smooth pan and tilt fluid drag for enhanced control and stability. The patented OConnor Sinusoidal Counterbalance system ensures true and accurate balance at any tilt point, even down to zero, accommodating the trend toward lighter weight cameras. The ergonomic crank-style counterbalance control, located at the rear of the head, simplifies operation, and the Action Brakes for pan and tilt can be unlocked with a single-handed squeeze. The OConnor drag system maintains constant control.
The OConnor 1030D supports a payload of up to 30 lbs. (13.6 kg) at a 6” (15cm) centre of gravity, with a +/-90° tilt range. The 1030Ds supports up to 41 lbs. (18.6 kg) at 6” (15cm) COG with a +/- 60° tilt range.
These heads are part of the OConnor Ultimate series, featuring interchangeable bases, compatibility with various accessories, and the renowned OConnor feel, consistent across different payloads. The new 30L carbon fibre tripod system is recommended as a companion for the 1030D and 1030Ds, offering an expanded payload range in a lightweight package.
